The 'technical' processes within a project. These workshops are for people who want to learn about effective project management. There are three levels of complexity: fundamentals, essentials and extension; we cater for beginners all the way through to people who want to hone or develop advanced skills – a master class.
Managing people in projects
Leadership and the 'people side' of projects. These workshops are designed to help people to develop their communication and change management skills. People new to project management will learn skills about the crucial first 30 days of a project. Advanced project managers will benefit from our instruction on managing relationships (within the team and with stakeholders), understanding the values and motivations that drive behaviour, and conflict resolution.
Project management for HR and Learning and Development (L&D) practitioners
An introduction to project management principles and processes. It covers the multi-faceted roles that HR and L&D practitioners play (e.g. project manager, project team facilitator, key stakeholder, business owner, resource provider and user of project outputs). It also identifies the key leverage points where HR and L&D practitioners can add value to projects and use their specialist skills to contribute to beneficial project outcomes.
Project leader as change agent
This program focuses on the role of the project manager as a leader and implementer of change. Learn about the key principles and practices of organisational change management, and how to lead people (project team and others) within this environment.
Implementing change using Tipping Point methodology (for executive senior management)
How much change is going on in your organisation? How many change initiatives get a really successful uptake? Research shows that between 50% and 85% of change initiatives fail! And it's often because organisations fail to get the 'people factors' right. This workshop can help you, as a senior manager, to manage change in your organisation.
Effective project sponsorship (for executive senior management)
Active and visible executive sponsorship is the key factor in successful projects. This workshop is designed for senior executives to hone their skills in management and leadership during demanding projects, so that the often considerable financial investment is realised.
