LeftField Uses an Integrated Approach
Our approach involves integrating people, development and management activities with sound project management practices throughout the life of a project.
People are unique and so are projects - each project faces its own unique set of challenges and opportunities. Techniques that worked well on a previous project may not translate to the next project. This means that using standard templates to solve complex and unique problems can be ineffective. The best chance of fixing project problems or issues comes from building on your existing skills and strengths. The LeftField approach looks to identify what resources you already have, to work within your existing culture, and to find ways to rethink what is already available.
The LeftField approach seeks to find ways to encourage people to perform to their maximum capability – this may involve:

- developing relationship skills
- identifying obstacles and constraints to performance
- analysing existing processes and systems
- identifying opportunities for improvement
- conducting quality reviews
- developing change management strategies and plans
- project management training
- skills development via coaching or mentoring
- conflict management and resolution
- team development and performance review
- facilitating stakeholder relationships
- facilitating team closure or perhaps troubleshooting
“If people are the engine for accomplishing work,
then communication lies at the heart of true productivity”
